Privacy Policy.
Summary
Everything you add to Beauty B#tch — products, photos, expiry dates, wishlist, archive and events — is stored on your iPhone and, if you turn on sync, in your personal iCloud. We can’t see this data, and we never sell any data to third parties.
1. Who we are
The Beauty B#tch app for iOS (the “App”) and this website are developed and maintained by Olga Lazareva (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what data is processed when you use the App and the website. You can reach us at olyalazareva.dev@gmail.com.
2. Data you add to the App
Product names and brands, categories, opening and expiry dates, photos, prices, notes, ratings, your wishlist and events are stored locally on your device. We don’t have access to them and don’t upload them to our servers.
iCloud. If sync is on, your data is stored in a private iCloud database tied to your Apple ID and is processed by Apple under its Privacy Policy. We have no access to your iCloud.
Camera and photos. The App asks for camera and photo library access only so you can add a picture of a product. Photos are kept in the App and in your iCloud; we never receive them.
Notifications. Expiry and event reminders are scheduled and shown locally on your device.
3. Analytics
To understand which features are useful and to find bugs, the App uses AppMetrica by Yandex. It receives anonymized technical data: in-app events (such as “screen opened” or “product added”), device model, iOS and App version, language and region, crash reports, and installation identifiers generated by AppMetrica.
We don’t send the contents of your bag, your photos or notes to AppMetrica, we don’t request access to the advertising identifier (IDFA), and we don’t track you across other apps or websites. See Yandex’s Privacy Policy for details.
4. Purchases
The full version is purchased through the App Store. Payments are handled by Apple: we never receive your card details, name or address — only a confirmation that the purchase was made.
5. Batch code lookup
If you use batch code lookup, the App sends only the brand name and the code itself to our server to work out the production date. This data isn’t linked to your identity and isn’t stored after the response.
6. Website
This website uses Yandex Metrica, a web analytics service by Yandex, to count visits and see how the site is used. It sets cookies and receives your IP address, browser and device details, the pages you visit, where you came from, and clicks on links and page elements. We see only aggregated statistics; Yandex processes the data under its Privacy Policy. Metrica runs only if you allow it in the cookie banner; you can change your choice at any time with “Cookie settings” at the bottom of any page. Fonts and images are served from the site itself, and our hosting provider may keep standard technical logs (IP address, browser type, request time) to operate and secure the server.
7. Sharing
We don’t sell or share data with third parties other than the services described above (Apple, AppMetrica and Yandex Metrica) that help the App work, or where the law requires it.
8. Retention and deletion
You can delete any product or record right in the App. Deleting the App removes local data from your device. To delete iCloud data, open Settings on your iPhone: your name → iCloud → Manage Storage → Beauty B#tch.
To request deletion of analytics data related to your installation, email olyalazareva.dev@gmail.com.
9. Your rights
You can ask what data about you is processed, ask us to correct or delete it, and withdraw your consent. Email olyalazareva.dev@gmail.com and we’ll reply within 30 days.
10. Children
The App is not intended for children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has shared data with us, email olyalazareva.dev@gmail.com and we’ll delete it.
11. Security
We rely on the security features of iOS and iCloud and keep the data we process to a minimum. Still, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The new version will be posted on this page with a new “last updated” date. If the changes are significant, we’ll let you know in the App.
